- Complete the Coversheet for the transaction.
- Select Documents, then select the documents template for the transaction and click Generate.
- Within Active Documents, fill out documents as required. You can switch between card view and list view using the view toggle at the top of the documents section.
- Add any more documents from Side templates, or upload documents.
- Tag documents you have uploaded. If you upload an offer package, Side may automatically detect the document and offer to add signature, initial, and date tags for you — look for the auto-tagging banner. You can also tag manually at any time.
- You may also Reorder, Forward, Move to inactive
New Prepare Envelope choices!
- You may now click Prepare Envelope to manage and send the envelope from the Side Application.
- Alternatively, by selecting the Edit in DocuSign option on the Prepare Envelope button, you may choose to manage and send the envelope from DocuSign.
After clicking Prepare Envelope, you may:
- Add or remove envelope recipients.
- Set the signing order for the envelope.
- Edit the email message sent with the envelope.
If you choose to Edit In DocuSign
- Your envelope will show in the DocuSign envelope section until it has been sent.
- The Active Documents will be transmitted to DocuSign to finish sending.
Please note that afterwards, you can’t:
- Edit pre-populated fields in documents.
- Edit text inputs you entered in documents.
- Add more Side-provided templates.
When ready, click Send from the Side Application or finish sending from DocuSign.
The envelope will then show as a Sent Envelope, and you may:
- Send reminders to signers.
- Void the envelope, until all parties have signed.
