Sharing Growth Tools Access While You're Out
How to get a temporary or backup team member into Canva, ActivePipe, or your other Growth Tools — without handing over your own Okta login.
Requesting Temporary or Backup Access
Instead, request a seat or delegated access for the person covering for you:
- Contact Side Support via chat or help@side.com and let us know which tool (Canva, ActivePipe, Follow Up Boss, etc.) the covering person needs, and for roughly how long.
- Get sign-off from your team's Partner(s) — additional seats on some tools (for example, an extra Canva seat) require Partner approval before Support can provision them.
- Provide the covering person's name and email so Support can set up their own login rather than sharing yours.
- Note the expected end date if the coverage is temporary, so Support knows when to follow up about removing the seat.
Reactivating Access After a Break
If your own Growth Tools access was paused or lapsed while you were out (for example, if your Okta account was suspended during a leave of absence), you'll need it reactivated before you can use Canva, ActivePipe, or similar tools again.
- Contact Side Support via chat or help@side.com and ask to have your Growth Tools access reactivated.
- Confirm your Okta account status first — if your Okta account itself is still suspended, that needs to be resolved before individual tools will reconnect.
- Allow time for each tool to sync after reactivation — some tools (like ActivePipe contact syncing) can take longer than others to reflect the change.
Common Questions
No — this isn't supported and puts your whole account at risk. Request a seat or login for that person instead (see above).
A short sync delay is normal after a new seat is provisioned or access is reactivated. If contacts still haven't synced after a day, contact Side Support.
See the Canva FAQs for Side's standard seat eligibility rules.
If the issue is your own Okta login rather than a Growth Tools seat, start there instead.
