Workvivo: Side's Community Platform
How to log in, find your metro space, manage notifications, RSVP to events, and get the most out of the Side agent community.
Logging In
Workvivo is Side's internal community platform — your hub for the Referral Exchange, metro spaces, agent groups, events, and company-wide announcements. It replaced Workplace by Meta in late 2025.
Access Workvivo two ways:
- Via Okta: Log into sideagent.okta.com → click the Workvivo Social Network tile.
- Direct URL: Go to side.workvivo.us and sign in with your Side branded email.
Spaces & Metro Groups
Spaces are focused groups where community activity happens — regional metros, interest groups, the Referral Exchange, and more.
Finding Your Metro Space
- Click Spaces in the top navigation.
- Navigate to your State space.
- Click Subspaces — your metro area will be listed here. Listing spaces are nested within each metro.
Finding Masterminds & Interest Groups
Click Spaces in the top navigation → select Community to browse and join topic-based groups including masterminds, coaching circles, and interest communities.
The Referral Exchange
The Referral Exchange is where Side agents share and pick up client referrals across the network. You're subscribed by default when you join Workvivo — see Notifications below to manage how often you hear from it.
Managing Notifications
By default, email notifications for all spaces are off — except the Referral Exchange, which emails you every time a new post is made. Here's how to control what you receive.
| Goal | What to Do |
|---|---|
| Stop Referral Exchange emails | Navigate to the Referral Exchange space → click Leave Space in the top right banner. |
| Subscribe to a specific space | Navigate to the space → click the bell icon within that space to turn on notifications for it. |
| Switch to a daily digest (recommended) | Bell icon (top right) → gear icon → enable Daily Digest. Then turn off per-space notifications so you get one summary email instead of individual alerts. |
| Turn off all notifications | Leave any spaces you're subscribed to, then bell icon → gear icon → toggle off all notifications globally. |
Events & Calendar
Adding a Side Event to Your Calendar
- Find the event in Workvivo.
- Click Attend to RSVP.
- An Add to Calendar button will appear — click it to add the event directly to your personal calendar.
Creating an Event Space Owners Only
Only Space Owners can create events. If you manage a space and need to post an event:
- Navigate to your space → click the Events tab.
- Click the Event toggle and fill in: title, location (Zoom link or physical address), start and end date/time, and an event image.
- Set RSVP to Yes — this enables the Add to Calendar feature for attendees.
- Write a summary with the key information: description, agenda, any relevant links. This is what attendees will see in the event preview.
- Post to your space only — cross-post to other spaces only if the event is directly relevant to them.
Your Profile
Adding a Job Title
The Role field on Workvivo profiles can't be edited directly. You can add a Job Title that displays in the Other Details widget on your profile:
- Click your profile picture → Edit Profile.
- Click Other Details.
- Add your job title and save.
Note: the Job Title appears in the "Other Details" section of your profile, not in the main role field at the top.
Common Questions
Start by leaving the Referral Exchange (navigate to the space → Leave Space). Then enable the Daily Digest (bell icon → gear icon → Daily Digest) for a single daily summary instead of per-post emails. Turn off per-space notifications for any other spaces you're subscribed to.
Metro spaces require at least 10 Side partner companies in the area. Email community@side.com with your metro area name to request it.
No — the Role field can't be changed. You can add a Job Title instead via Edit Profile → Other Details. It shows in the "Other Details" widget on your profile rather than the main role field.
You need to RSVP first — click Attend on the event and the Add to Calendar button will appear. If RSVP was not enabled by the Space Owner when creating the event, the button won't appear at all. Contact the Space Owner to update the event settings.
