Having issues logging into your Side systems? This article shows steps for quickly checking the common culprits of login issues. If you still encounter issues, please reach out through chat support on the Side App or email support (help@side.com).

Check your browser
Remember, your Side systems work best on Google’s Chrome browser and provide the smoothest experience. If you currently do not have Chrome on your personal computer, here are the steps to download it.
- Open up your current browser window (i.e., Safari, Firefox, Brave, etc.)
- Type in “Chrome Browser Download” into the URL bar or copy and paste this link in: https://www.google.com/chrome/downloads/
- Click on the Download Chrome button which will download a file with the name googlechrome.dmg.download onto your computer (usually in the Downloads folder)
From there, you can follow the install instructions like any other application that you download onto your personal device.
Check your Chrome profile
Check your Chrome profile to see if you’re logging in with the correct profile.
Here’s how to check:
- Open a new Chrome browser window
- At the top right hand corner in line with the URL bar, click the circle next to the three vertical dots (screenshot below)
- This is where you can check your Chrome profile settings which each profile is tied to a specific email address. Confirm that it is your Side provisioned email address that your Chrome profile is currently on. You can check the email that is associated with the current profile you are on under your name.
NOTE: This is not your Google account that we are checking, it’s the Chrome profile we need to check.
Pro tip: label your Side account with [your name] - SIDE and pick a theme color plus avatar different from your personal profile. You can do this by clicking the pencil icon on the top right corner and a new window will open where you can customize your Chrome profile.
Create your Chrome Profile
If you don’t see your Side provided email on the Chrome profile, you need to add it in.
To add your Side email as a profile to the Chrome browser:
- Click on the Chrome profile icon that is next to the three vertical dots
- Under Other Profiles, select [Add] and a new window will open
- Select [Continue without Signing In]
- Set up the Profile with labeling your Side account with [your name] - SIDE and pick a theme color plus avatar different from your personal profile. You can do this by clicking the pencil icon on the top right corner and a new window will open where you can customize your Chrome profile.
- A new browser will open, navigate to sideagent.okta.com and sign in with your Okta credentials. Email would be your Side Branded email. (If prompted to install the Okta plugin, go ahead and click Install)
6. Once logged into Okta, Select the GMail tile first to link your Side Branded email to the newly created Chrome profile.
a. The [Verify it’s you] window will open. Click [Continue]
b. If you see either [Your organization requires a profile] or [Switch to existing Chrome profile?] you can click [Cancel]
c. If you see the [Turn on sync?] you can click the [Yes, I’m in] button to sync your profile settings across all devices logged into this same Chrome profile
7. Finish by verifying your main agent applications by clicking each tile;

- FollowupBoss or Copper
- ActivePipe
- Side app
- Moxi
- Continu
- Business Services
For new Side users
If you are new, make sure you have the Google Chrome browser downloaded. Steps indicated above.
Activate your Account Invitations
When you first joined, you were emailed activation links for several applications used here at Side to help your business.
- Look for the Okta email and click on the [Activate Okta Account] button and follow the instructions (this has been sent to your personal email).
- Once you are logged in, your Okta dashboard with various application tiles will show up. Before opening any of the applications/tiles on the Okta dashboard, close that current browser window out

Open up a new Chrome browser window to set up a Side affiliated Chrome profile. Steps below;
- Click on the Chrome profile icon that is next to the three vertical dots
- Under Other Profiles, select [Add] and a new window will open
- Select [Continue without Sign in]
- Set up the Profile with labeling your Side account with [your name] - SIDE and pick a theme color plus avatar different from your personal profile. You can do this by clicking the pencil icon on the top right corner and a new window will open where you can customize your Chrome profile.
- On the new Chrome browser window that opens, sign into Sideagent.okta.com (if prompted to install the Okta plugin, go ahead and click Install)
5. Go into Gmail via the Okta dashboard
a. The [Verify it’s you] window will open. Click [Continue]
b. If you see either [Your organization requires a profile] or [Switch to existing Chrome profile?] you can click [Cancel]
c. If you see the [Turn on sync?] you can click the [Yes, I’m in] button to sync your profile settings across all devices logged into this same Chrome profile
6. Next, activate the following applications as well via the emails you received in Gmail for:
- DocuSign
- MoxiPresents
- Follow Up Boss
Once all your accounts are activated and signed into at least once, you can access all of your Side applications by going to sideagent.okta.com which will sign you in through Okta and directly to your apps. This is to ensure the highest form of security for you and your clients so all your information is safe.
If you haven’t activated the account invitations or that they have expired, reach out through chat support on the Side App or email support (help@side.com) for immediate assistance asking for another account activation link for the specific application.
Install Okta plugin onto Chrome
Okta Browser Plugin protects your passwords and securely logs you into all your business and personal websites. With the Okta Browser Plugin you can:
- Automatically sign in to your business and personal websites with just one click.
- Add your own websites into Okta
- Easily access your Okta dashboard apps and tabs
- Seamlessly and securely switch between multiple Okta accounts
To download the Okta plugin onto the Chrome browser:
- Open a new Google Chrome browser window
- Type in “Okta Browser Plugin” into the URL bar
- Click on the option with chrome.google.com associated with the search result which will take you directly to a Chrome web store
- Click on Add to Chrome
- A popup window will appear and select Add extension
- A new tab will open in the Chrome window taking you to the Side Agent Okta Portal
- Login to Okta using your Okta credentials
If you do not want Okta to save your username and passwords to personal websites, click “NEVER for this app”
Bookmark your Side agent Okta
To bookmark sideagent.okta.com into your Chrome browser with your Side profile for easier access to your Side systems homepage,
- Type in sideagent.okta.com into the URL bar
- On the right hand side of the URL bar, click on the star icon and a window will appear that says Bookmark Added
- In the Name field, rename the page to “Side Okta”
- In the Folder field, select Bookmarks Bar
- Click Done
This shortcut will always appear right under the URL bar of every Chrome window you open under your Side affiliated Chrome profile.
ProTip: To make your bookmarks bar appear, click on the three vertical dots next to the Chrome profile icon that is right of the URL bar. Hover over Bookmarks and a new menu will appear and proceed by selecting Show Bookmarks Bar.
