Linking Your Facebook Business Page
A deep-dive guide for agents and admins on connecting Facebook to Digital Campaign Builder.
Why You Need a Facebook Business Page
A Facebook Business Page is required by Meta to run any advertising on Facebook or Instagram — this includes all DCB campaigns that run on those platforms. Without one, your Meta ads cannot go live.
The good news: you don't need to create or manage your own page if you'd prefer not to. Side provides a default option that lets you start running ads right away.
Your Two Options
Option A — Use Side's Unbranded Page Recommended for Beginners
Your DCB account comes pre-linked to a Facebook Business Page managed by Side. This page has no Side-specific branding — your ads look and perform exactly the same as they would with your own page.
- No setup required — it's already connected
- Leads flow directly into your DCB account as normal
- Ad performance is not impacted
- Best choice if you don't have a Facebook Business Page or don't want to manage one
Option B — Link Your Own Facebook Business Page
If you have an existing branded Facebook Business Page, you can connect it to DCB so your ads display your own branding.
Before you attempt to link your page, confirm you have:
- Admin access on the Facebook Business Page itself
- Admin access on the Business Manager account associated with that page
Creating a New Facebook Business Page
If you don't have a Facebook Business Page yet and want to create one to use with DCB, follow these steps:
- Log into Facebook with your personal account.
- Click the menu (grid icon) in the top right corner, then select "Page."
- Choose a page name (typically your team or brand name) and select "Real Estate Agent" as your category.
- Complete the page setup — add a profile photo, cover photo, and business description.
- Navigate to Business Manager (business.facebook.com) and add your new page to your Business Manager account.
- In Business Manager, go to Page Roles and confirm you are listed as an Admin.
- Return to DCB and link your page from the Assets section (see Linking Your Page below).

Manage admin and editor permissions directly on your Facebook Business Page.
Linking Your Page in DCB
Once your Business Page is set up and you have admin access confirmed, connect it to DCB using either of these methods:
| Method | When to Use | Steps |
|---|---|---|
| From a Blueprint | When setting up a new campaign and prompted to connect a page | During blueprint setup, you'll see a prompt to link your Facebook Business Page — follow the on-screen steps to connect it. |
| From the Assets Section | When setting up your page ahead of time, before launching a campaign | In DCB, navigate to Assets in the left-hand menu, select Facebook Pages, and follow the prompts to connect your page. |
Unlinking a Facebook Business Page
If you need to remove a Facebook Business Page from your DCB account:
- Go to
{your-domain}/#facebook/pagesin your DCB account. - Find the page you want to remove and click "View Page Details."
- Scroll to the bottom of the page details and click "Unlink."
- Click "Unlink" again to confirm.
Troubleshooting
Confirm you have admin access on both the page and the Business Manager account. If both are confirmed and you still see an error, contact help@side.com and use Side's unbranded page in the meantime.
Ensure your Business Manager account is verified and in good standing with Meta. Restricted or flagged Business Manager accounts will prevent ad delivery regardless of page connection.
Ask your current page admin to grant you the Admin role in Business Manager under Page Roles. You cannot link a page without admin-level access on both the page and Business Manager.
